How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal works by permanently reducing the hair growth within our body. The laser light is attracted to pigment within the hair follicle allowing the light to travel down the follicle until it turns to heat at the base, destroying the vascular supply and therefore, the hair. 
We use the medical grade and TGA approved Candela Alexandrite 755nm System when it comes to your laser hair removal treatments that is able to treat Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV.  This machine has an inbuilt cooling system that projects a cooling agent before and after each shot of heat to provide you with a comfortable treatment. 

Why do I need a Laser Consultation & Test Patch before my first treatment?
We conduct consultations to ensure you understand how the laser operates and to determine the best possible treatment plan from looking at your skin type and hair growth.

How many sessions will I need?
How many sessions someone will need may vary from person to person. This is because many factors can influence hair growth such as:
- Hormones, puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause
- Medications
- Age
- Stress
Permanent hair reduction occurs only in one of three phases of hair growth within the human body known as the Anagen phase. Because of this, a course of 6-10 treatments is recommended at intervals of 4-8 weeks depending on the area of the body being treated.

What should I do before my consultation and treatment?
Before your treatment you should shave the area either the morning of or the night before for best results.
Avoid the sun and fake tanning products leading up to your appointment and ensure the area is clean.
Please do not pluck, wax or tweeze the area/s you are wanting treated.

What do I do after my treatment?
After your treatment please ensure you avoid exercise, heat inducing activities, fake tans and very hot showers for the rest of the day.  Please do not expose your treated area/s to the sun for 2 weeks after your treatment.
